Javier Fortune Bayer is a Partner at Cuadra Vollmer & Cía.
His practice has focused on Labor law and Social Security areas, with an approach that favors the development and strengthening of properly structured relationships between companies, workers and unions. Additionally, Javier has a vast experience in several matters, such as preparation, compliance and termination of employment contracts, internal regulations, corporate policies, senior executives hiring and compensation plans, subcontracting work regime, participation in collective bargaining processes, and advising on all matters related to the administration of human resources. Likewise, he assists clients in audits and administrative procedures before the Labor Directorate, as well as assumes client’s representation and defense before the courts of justice with labor jurisdiction.
He graduated from University of Chile´s Law School. Subsequently, he obtained a specialization in Trends and Projections of Labor Regulation and Social Protection, and a Master degree in Labor and Social Security Law, both in the University of Chile.
In the academic field, Javier works as an undergraduate professor in the Labor Law and Special Courts courses at Universidad Mayor´s Law School, from 2018 to date.
Before joining Cuadra Vollmer & Cía. as a partner, he was Head of the Labor Area at Tapia, Guzmán, Costa & Margozzini Abogados (2018-2020); worked as a senior associate lawyer at the DLA Piper labor group (2016-2018); at the Office of the Superintendent of Pensions (2015-2016); at Gutiérrez, Brodsky & Arrieta Abogados (2013-2014); at AFP Planvital S.A. (2011-2013); and at the People Management of Nextel Chile S.A. (2010-2011).
He is member of the Chilean Bar Association A.G. and the Chilean Society of Labor Law and Social Security.
